This model is called Gillette "500", Gillette "monoblock", and sometimes Gillette 500 HD by collectors.
Always have the legend "Gillette MADE IN ENGLAND", and the "Brit. Pat." or "Patent pending" legend inside the base plate.
There is a curious advertisement where the razor is called "Monoblock" with blue case and the price is 750 francs, but this is not the 750 monoblock model(should have yellow case). This is because this is a case from a 50th aniversary set, and the price is different. |
