This model can have several variations, on the shape of the grooves of the door opening ring, on the legend that indicates the country of production, and on the knob of the bottom part of the handle. It always uses to have a letter+number code on the plate. The legend of the country can be "Gillette ENGLAND" or "Gillette GERMANY". German models use to have the metal knob and the thick grooves on the ring.
Even the model with metal knob or the model with plastic knob can weight between 40 and 42 grams, depending on the density of the plastic of the handle. We have found models with metal knob and a weight of 40 grams, and another ones with metal knob and a weight of 42 grams. |

The english model is called G1000, and the german model is called G2000, this is the name shown on the advertisements and packages of each country, but always the legends over the metal plate shows "Gillette ENGLAND". |
